Owner Phil Barker grew up in Eden NC working at Dickerson’s Cabinet Shop after school, sweeping floors and cleaning up. After graduating, Phil started working full time at Dickerson’s, building and finishing furniture.

In 1971, Phil moved to Greensboro to work for Guilford Galleries – one of the largest design firms in North Carolina at that time. Phil did customer services, repairs, and finishing on damaged items until Guilford Galleries closed in 1976.

After leaving Guilford Galleries, in 1976 Phil started his own antiques business shortly thereafter, and now brings his many talents and  years of knowledge to artfully restore and refinish antiques and other furniture.
